Family support services

Following children’s Sunflower House visits, the Family Support Specialist will contact non-offending caregivers by phone. The Family Support Specialist will talk with them about their needs, concerns, and answer any questions they may have. It is the Family Support Specialist’s responsibility to help non-offending caregivers throughout this process by connecting them to needed resources, providing learning opportunities, and helping them strengthen themselves. This means non-offending caregivers may have frequent contact with the Family Support Specialist. The Family Support Specialist is available by phone, email, and in-person meetings at Sunflower House or in the community.
