Happy Bear is Turning 25!

Happy Bear is a lovable character that visits preschool and kindergarten classrooms in both Johnson and Wyandotte Counties in Kansas. The Sunflower House Education Coordinators, with the help of volunteers, travel to 189 schools each year teaching personal safety.

In 2007, Sunflower House's Education Coordinators educated over 27,000 children, parents and professionals.

Community Trainings

Sunflower House looks forward to the opportunity to educate people in our community about child abuse and how to prevent it. We provide Mandated Reporter Training, Keeping Kids Safe Online, Stewards of Children and Abusive Head Trauma to area educators, professionals and companies.
