April is Child Abuse Prevention Month
April is the month that the millions of children affected by abuse across the nation are remembered. Child sexual abuse affects 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 6 boys before they reach adulthood.
This April is full of awareness and fundraising campaigns brought to you by Sunflower House and community members.

The Happy Sunflower:
A Family Rummage Sale at Sunflower House
Join Sunflower House for their first annual rummage sale. Enjoy a
family friendly sale full of baby and kid clothes, toys, furniture and home
décor items. Your great finds will support Sunflower House's mission to
prevent child abuse in our community.

Wear Blue Day

August Heat Brings A Champion
August 7th • 11:30 am
Lionheart Luncheon at the Reardon Center
Three-time Tour de France winner Greg LeMond will speak at this years' Lionheart Luncheon. The lunch recognizes an individual or organization that has the courage to protect children from abuse. LeMond was abused by an uncle and it had a profound impact on his life. He has not shared this story publicly until now. The event is August 7th at 11:30 am at the Reardon Center in Kansas City, KS.
