LeMond's lifelong secret of childhood sexual abuse was outed last year during the doping trial of fellow Tour de France winner Floyd Landis.

At the hands of an uncle, LeMond was a victim of childhood sexual abuse and will be speaking about his experience, the process to overcome and the importance a child advocacy center plays in the lives of abused children.

The 2008 Lionheart Luncheon is sure to change the way we see child abuse. Many of us think that our children are immune to the tragedy of sexual abuse.

Greg LeMond will shatter child abuse myths and awaken Kansas City minds to the lifelong effects of child abuse.

Over 30 million Americans living today have be sexually abused as children. Of those, 12 million have kept it a secret. Child abuse is increasingly in epidemic proportions. By telling his secret, Greg LeMond will be changing lives.
